What are ImagInk anti-slip ceramic inks?
Anti-slip ceramic inks are formulated by Dip-Tech for use in digital glass printing. They are highly durable inks that are bonded to the glass surface in the tempering process. This create surfaces resistant to slipping, enhancing safety and durability on glass flooring and other walking surfaces.
Can I create my own pattern for use with the anti-slip inks?
Absolutely. The advantage of the ImagInk digital process is the customisation that can be applied for each project. Any pattern can be printed using anti-slip inks, however it will require independent slip testing to ensure the correct slip rating is achieved.
Can ImagInk anti-slip glass be used on both indoors and outdoors?
Yes, the inks we use are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. They are designed to withstand various weather conditions and maintain their anti-slip properties over time.
How do I maintain glass flooring printed with ImagInk anti-slip inks?
General cleaning and maintenance is similar to standard glass flooring and involves regular cleaning with non-abrasive cleaning agents that are approved for glass surfaces to remove dirt and grime. The anti-slip properties are embedded in the ink and are not affected by standard cleaning procedures.
What certifications does ImagInk anti-slip glass have for safety and durability?
Within the Australian market, all ImagInk anti-slip glass is certifed to AS4586:2013. Our glass also complies with international safety standards for slip resistance, such as ASTM and DIN. However always ensure you check specific project requirements and any unique geographic location criteria before installing.
Will acid washing the glass or surrounding areas damage the non-slip inks?
Yes. Under no circumstances should ImagInk non-slip glass be acid washed, this will compromise the non-slip inks and void the product warranty. If surrounding areas (eg concrete) require acid washing during construction ensure all non-slip glass is throughly protected to avoid damage.
